Terra Volatile: Collector’s Darkest Edition

Last week I received a Christmas present to myself, a bit late, or a bit early, depending on how you look at it! Back in May, I ordered the Terra Volatile Collector’s Edition, and after a few production delays, it arrived beautifully packaged and in perfect condition.

I knew I wanted to film a deck flip-through, and also compare the new edition to the standard-sized deck. Sadly, the first time I filmed it, I had the wrong ratio selected on my phone, so it didn’t record in high definition — and then something went wrong the second time I filmed it as well :) I think Mercury was still in retrograde, haha!

Anywho, third time’s a charm — I sound a bit breathy in this one because I was rushing to finish before it was time to get my munchkin ready for bed. Enjoy!

If you haven't heard of Terra Volatile, it's an absoluetly STUNNING creation by Ana Fragateiro and Tiago Pimentel of Credo quia Absurdum. They've just released this first Collector's Edition, which they're calling the Collector "Darkest" Edition, which is intended for display and altar use.

This unique deck contains alternative cards — and a fifth suit of Vessels — to allow you to build your own personal deck, using the cards you like the most. Some of the cards have had a refresh, and there are some new, never seen before alternate card versions in this large edition that you can't find elsewhere (yet).

While the creators weren't 100% happy with this print run, I think it's a gorgeous deck, and believe any tarot lover would be overjoyed to have this in their collection. Because it turned out darker than they would have preferred, they're offering it for 50% off currently on their website.

There's also a second expansion set of cards for their standard-size deck (they're calling it the extension) in the works; the wait list is now open for this. Links below!
