Weekly Forecast: 26 November

Back with another weekly forecast spread (for myself), using the Spirit Keeper's Tarot by Benebell Wen. I go into a bit more detail on my cards in this one, and read a bit from The Book of Maps. I'm using the same spread as last week, the 3-card forecast from Benebell Wen's 22-Weeks with the SKT workbook.

Again, it’s a brilliant wee spread to get me focused for the week and I do enjoy looking back at the end of the week to reflect and see what else popped up to build my personal database of tarot correspondences / language / vocabulary.

Here are the card positions:

  • Card 1: The spirit most present with me this week

  • Card 2: What's in my highest interest to prioritise this week

  • Card 3: Something to prepare for

My interpretation

Card 1: The Destroyer, 10 of Swords
Last week was all about choice, with The Lovers. This week is influenced astrologically by that card, so I'm finding that connection a bit of a flow on effect.

Again, there is something here that I need to choose differently on and let go of, going forward into this week. I have been thinking a lot about what stock I should carry in my market stalls, and a lot about the things I think I 'should' do vs. the things that will align with where I want to go and how I want to show up in the world. So more of that is in the cards!

I also think this is a nod to just write more succinctly; Benebell talked about 'killing my darlings' which is removing that which exists only to support my ego but not support my narrative.

Card 2: The Giver, 6 of Orbs
This weekend, I'll be at the Mind, Body, Spirit Expo here in Ōtautahi Christchurch and this is a great opportunity for me to prioritise giving back to my local community, while at the same time, making connections that will support my goals.

I'm taking this card as a reminder to streamline my processes, make things easy on myself on the two days I'll be doing back to back readings, and therefore I'll be able to be truly present for the people I'll be reading for. I'll be prioritising balancing energy exchange in all its forms.

Card 3: Kindred, 3 of Chalices
I hope this means to prepare for some amazing new connections coming out of the this weekend.

I'm also looking forward to catching up with my favourite folks in the weekly Rider-Waite-Smith One-Card deep dive study, which has been moved to different days this week and last week.

So, hopefully I get to look forward to some good chats, building trust, and making deeper bonds with the people I enjoy, something that is so crucial to staving off negativity, loneliness and isolation while I'm living a COVID-conscious lifestyle.

Join me again next week to see how my interpretation held up and if anything happened during my week that I may have missed.
