Weekly Forecast: 12 February
Kia ora! Jumping back into weekly posting format (hopefully) a quick forecast using the Spirit Keeper's Tarot by Benebell Wen, and the 3-card spread from her 22-Weeks with the SKT workbook. It's a bit rambly, as I recap my reading from two weeks ago and reflect on what I interpreted and what actually eventuated.
Again, it’s a brilliant wee spread to get me focused for the week and I do enjoy looking back at the end of the week to reflect and see what else popped up to build my personal database of tarot correspondences / language / vocabulary.
Here are the card positions:
Card 1: The spirit most present with me this week
Card 2: What's in my highest interest to prioritise this week
Card 3: Something to prepare for
My interpretation
Card 1: The Eminence (9 of Orbs / Pentacles)
I'm hopeful this weekend will result in the culmination of two weeks of research and preparation paying off at my weekly markets. If anything I also will be spending a lot of time with my daughter and husband and enjoying making them a priority this week. Finally settling into the new rhythm of my life. We are also looking at completing a long-term financial goal this week: we're buying a spa / hot tub to help both my husband's and my backs, along with hopefully getting our daughter to use it one day.
Card 2: Archangel of Mysteries, Angel Who Illuminates the Shadow (King of Orbs / Pentacles)
I would take heed to prioritise my well being and prepare and safeguard against tougher times that may lie ahead, and ask myself how I can best allocate my resources and also how my resources can help me gain spiritual fulfillment.
I wonder what is coming. It seems a bit foreboding to see these two formidable Archangel energies present in this week's forecast. I'm also taking this as a precaution to not be complacent around our COVID protocols during next month's hospital visit with my daughter, and while I'm out mingling with market-goers. It's easy to forget we're still in the middle of a pandemic when nobody is masking anywhere, especially in hospital settings.
Card 3: Archangel Commander, Angel of Storms and Battles (King of Swords)
I need to prepare to dust off my advocacy skills — I believe this could be about coordinating a lot of specialist care around the upcoming medical procedure my daughter is having next month.
I'm also very aware of what comes out of my mouth during readings for others — I do my best to convey that I do not view any tarot reading as being set in stone, that every reading is only a snapshot of current energy around the question we're exploring. I know that throwing words around willy-nilly can be greatly damaging and my goal is to always leave someone better off than when they sit down at my table, even if the cards are hard ones.
This could also be around advocating, community building, supporting others and building networks of mutual aid during this tough time ahead with the rise of fascism and bigotry.
Join me again next week to see how my interpretation held up and if anything happened during my week that I may have missed.
